Why do you take pictures? This is a question I’m pondering.
In this day and age when everyone carries a camera in their pocket, what is the purpose of photography?
Can you imagine what it must’ve been like to see the first photographs ever created? To be the first subject within this new medium that allowed you to visually preserve history? Incredible!

I’ve said it before but maybe someone will look at my images 100 years from now the way I look back at images from 100 years ago.
That is hugely motivating for me. Even a simple kids’ basketball game is worth preserving.
