I want to quit! But I won’t. | Photography Challenge 2020

I’m just going to be honest. I’m bored. Or frustrated. Maybe both. I am definitely not enjoying my current photography challenge: shooting sooc with different aspect ratios.

Which probably means I should stick with it. It is supposed to be a challenge, after all.

I am so used to the native aspect ratio in my camera that I’m finding it very challenging to compose my shots outside of those familiar confines. I’ve gotten lazy and the trouble with laziness is that it takes so much effort to snap out of it. Like forcing myself to use my rowing machine after taking a few weeks off.

So, even though I want to quit, I’m going to power through until quitting isn’t in the forefront of my mind. And I’ll have a few weeks to adjust my attitude because I had to send my X-T2 off for repair again. Thankfully, it’s still under warranty but man, this is the third time in the past three months.

The unreliability of my gear has definitely put a kink in how much I’ve been shooting as of late. I’ve only had my camera in my possession for maybe six weeks total since just before Thanksgiving.

Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, here are some photographs I was able to make during the past few weeks.
