I just realized that it’s May and I haven’t posted a 2020 photo challenge update since February. Yep, that’s how my year is going. How about you?
I wouldn’t say I’ve given up so much as I’ve been derailed. We all know the entire world has been turned upside down and there’s no sense in pretending otherwise. All of a sudden finding myself to be an out of work homeschooling mom has taken its toll. With less than two weeks left to go in the school year, I’m hoping to soon regain some semblance of myself. And it will not involve math or grammar practice.
During this time, I haven’t stopped taking pictures, but I did stop challenging myself. Life has been challenging enough and hey, I can only handle so much.
I’m okay with that.
I’m okay with giving myself space and not labeling the project a wash just because I had to hit the pause button. I know that my camera, while used less frequently over these past weeks, is no less loved. Sometimes a little distance really does make the heart grown fonder.
