I can’t fully describe the joy in finally being able to get out of the house and take my kids to the zoo. Not all of the exhibits were open, capacity was limited, and even though we’re members, we had to make advance reservations – but even so, it was an extremely pleasant day.
The foliage at the zoo is one of my favorite parts because it’s so varied. I love photographing the different flowers and leaves. Some of them (not pictured here) will make it into my Leaves collection, though I’m still unsure what I’ll do with that project.
Here’s hoping this is just the beginning of normalcy creeping back into our daily lives. After all, what’s summer without at least a few fun excursions?
