In continuing with my convalescence (which I’m not very good at by the way – more on that in another post), I’m still primarily photographing my home. As I’ve done so, I’m noticing a greater sense of gratitude for it. When you really stop to see and observe your surroundings, it’s hard not to come to a place of extreme appreciation for what you have, especially when others have so little or are being forced to leave all they have behind. This sense of increased gratitude has been a welcome, though unexpected, result of my Home Project.
Take a look around at all you have been blessed with. Make a list of the things you’re grateful for, then photograph them. Document your gratitude and then watch as that gratitude spills over into other areas of your life as well. I want gratitude to be the lens through which I view the world.
